Laserz at Rockin' Tomato Pizza

Yes. We are playing a pizza place. This isn't just any pizza place though. It is the Rockin Tomato. I swear, I see the same people every time I go in there. I go in there alot too. It is at: 3003 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX. The happy hour there is really cheap. The pizza is rad and the beer is good. Don't expect over the top ass-kissing service though. There is definitely a "pay-your-dues" local mentality to that place that is typically characteristic of local Austin establishments all over the city. We will be playing after Major, Major, Major who is opening and will start at 9:00. We will be playing at 10:00 sharp! The sound guy is really persistent about this. The doors will be locked closed at 12:00 midnight. I mean, shit, there's still two hours of night left to be had elsewhere. Why stay there, right? You ate, saw some good music, got a free demo cd, and drank shit tons of beer. So get the fuck out, drive around the Austin streets and go pass out on the apartment floor of some failed drunken booty-call that left your drunk ass there as she/he went to work the next morning.  Yes.  I feel sorry for those of you who recognize the flier.  It is the s.a.s.s.i., drug and alcohol awareness testing booklet that those poor souls who have had to endure probation for stupid shit have had to graffiti on at one point in their lives...

Ass! Shit! Bitch! And shit.... I just want to express myself and be full of all the self-righteous bullshit that I want to be full of. Don't you try to stop me. I love Jesus. And grandma too. I love erections in the morning, and long pisses before going to bed at night. I love the thought of Goldie Hawn jumping on the trampoline. I am stoked on the smell of your fart in a closed-window station-wagon with the heat turned on. I am wondering what in the hell dogs are feeling when they are seriously sticking their nose in deep butt crack and trying to make a decision whether to like you or hate you. I am the snot bubble that comes from the unwanted sneeze in the airplane. I am the dusty diggery-doo in the hipsters apartment who had a friend that went to Australia for a week once. I am bacon. I am tofu soaking in bacon. You are cheese. Goodnight.

On a comp... and shit.

Laserz! has bee pretty busy lately. Ok, well maybe not. But we've thought about being busy. We are building on a new studio trying to get some kind of cd together before our show at the Rockin' Tomato on Friday 1/29. Come to that show and drink some beer, eat some pizza, and liten to us and Major, Major, Major play. It should be a good little show and you will get a free Laserz cd.

Also, big news. Kill Red Rocket Records put us on their online comp. It is a great compilation with tons of new artists with genre defying sounds. Our good friends iok and Bloody Knives are on it along with lots brainfuckers from around the states.

Go to their blogsite and download the comp. Open your itunes. Make a new playlist and call it Kill Red Rockets. Unzip the file into a folder on your computer. Open the window to view the files. Ctrl+ click all the files in the folder. Drag and drop the files into your itunes. That way you will have all the files in order on your itunes in a separate playlist like a 40 track album. Press play and enjoy your evening...

The Laserz song on that album is called Commies. It is after Charlie left the band and before Billy and Steve jumped on. It is basically Todd and I trying to redefine our sound and keep the Laserz project going. It is a mix of 303 sequencer sounds with acoustic and electric guitar and a Yamaha MO6 along with a vinyl turntable. Overall it is the musical embodiment of a stoned, rainy afternoon.....
